Graduation
Requirements
Seniors,
Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshman-Classes of 2008, 2009, 2010,
and 2011
All students
must earn 120 credits in a four-year high school, one
hundred twelve and one half of which must be as follows:
- Four credit
years of English (20 credits)
- Three credit
years of Mathematics (15 credits)
- Three
credit years of Social Studies (15 credits) including United
States
and New Jersey History as required by N.J.S.A.
18A:35-1. and 35-2 and further including one credit year of
World History and Cultures.
- Three credit
years of Natural or Physical Science. (15 credits)
- Two credits
of World Languages, as a local district requirement. (10 credits)
- One credit
year of Physical Education, Health, and Safety for each year
of enrollment, as required by N.J.S.A. 18A:35-7; 8
- One credit
year of Visual or Performing Arts. (5 credits)
- One
credit year of Career Education, Consumer, Family, and Life
Skills
or Vocational Education. (5 credits)
- One credit
year of Health, Family Life, and Substance Abuse, as a local
district requirement. (5 credits)
All students
must attempt 35 credits per year.
