  Community and District
The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District is compromised of Egg Harbor City, Galloway, Hamilton and Mullica Townships. It is the largest school district, in area, in the state of New Jersey. It also serves students from Green Bank and Port Republic. The district operates two comprehensive high schools, grades 9-12, Absegami and Oakcrest. The district has a population of over 72,000 people and is located in Atlantic County—approximately 12 miles west of Atlantic City and a sixty minute drive from Philadelphia. The area is semi-rural with agriculture and light industry.
   
  School
Oakcrest is located on a 110 acre wooded tract in Hamilton Township, Mays Landing. The total student population is 1747. The number of credits required for graduation is 120, and students must maintain a good attendance record in order to be eligible for graduation. The school consists of four marking periods with graduation in June.
   
  Curriculum
A student’s program is individualized with emphasis on aptitude, interest and career goal. Oakcrest offers Advanced Placement, Honors, College Prep and General level instruction. There are a variety of electives, which meet the student’s vocational or avocational needs. Courses are available in the following areas: Business, English, World Languages, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Related Arts, Science, Social Studies and Special Education. Enrollment in the Atlantic County Institute of Technology is also available.

  Co-Curricular Program
Through the twenty-six NJSIAA varsity sports and thirty-six clubs and activities offered at Oakcrest High School, students are provided numerous opportunities to develop their leadership, sportsmanship, service oriented, and team building skills. The Co-curricular programs provides an opportunity for students to develop the whole person as they learn to set goals and manage their time effectively .
   
  Advanced Placement Program
Advanced Placement courses are offered in English Literature and Language, Calculus I and II, Statistics, Computer Programming 4, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics B, Psychology, Spanish, United States History, World History, American Government and Politics
