STUDENTS COMPETE IN ART POSTER CONTEST
Recently,
two art students at Oakcrest High School competed in a poster
competition sponsored by the Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia.
Seniors Anni Nugent and Alisha Fields are among the runners up
selected in the competition they entered as a part of their midterm
for Art class, according to Art Teacher Jayme Miller.
The
contest was quite competitive. “Both Anni and Alisha received
partial scholarships to attend the Hussian School of Art Summer
Sampler Workshop. The contest consisted of approximately 1100 entries.
I am very proud of their ability to enter such a large contest,” commented
Miller.
The
students were excited about the opportunity. “I feel honored
that my art work was recognized,” Alisha Field said.
