A
boy’s basketball clinic was recently held at the Hess School.
The event was coordinated by Oakcrest High School Boys’ Basketball
Assistant Coach Kevin Costello and Hamilton Township PAL Basketball
Coordinator Nickole Williams. Those who participated were the
OHS boys’ basketball team and the PAL boys travel teams
grades 5-8.
The event was held to “teach skills and fundamentals to younger players
within our community,” according to Costello. Frank Brown is also a coach
for the OHS team.
“This
was a nice opportunity for our kids to give back to the community,” explained
OHS Coach Dave Lewis. “Many of our kids have come through
the PAL program, and we consider them to be a valuable resource
to our program.”
Others
involved in the program expressed their appreciation. “We
want to thank the Oakcrest basketball staff and players for their
eagerness and willingness to help our program,” said Williams. “We
look forward to them continuing their clinics in our community.”
