Recently,
students from Oakcrest High School participated in an assembly
on boat safety education. All health classes received a visit
from Trooper Robert Monroe whose goal was to provide the students
with the most up to date information on laws and changes in laws
of boating.
“We
were very fortunate to have Trooper Monroe in our health classes
this week,” she said. “He provided us with the
most up to date information about boating safety,” stated
Kevin Costello, a health teacher at Oakcrest.
“I
learned some new information since taking the boating safety
course in the sixth grade,” commented Christina Palermo,
grade 9.
