High School students in U.S. History I and English II classes
recently traveled to the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia,
Pa. While there, students viewed a presentation, and then had
the opportunity to tour the city’s vast historic district.
Those
who participated were thrilled with the experience. “The
trip was a great experience for the students,” commented
Jim Dunn, social studies teacher. “I was happy to take
them to a place that they had been learning about in class.
Being in the actual building helped them relate to the classroom
material.”
Students
agreed with their teacher. “I thought the trip to the
Constitution Center was very educational and exhilarating,” said
Melanie Mackleer, a sophomore. “I learned new things
about the constitution. The Constitution Center was very cool.
The metal people on display were interesting looking.”
