GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT PREPARES JUNIORS
Guidance
counselors at Oakcrest High School recently visited juniors via
English classes to discuss important topics related to the college
search process and preparing to enter the workforce upon completion
of high school.
Counselors
also discussed other topics relevant to high school juniors, including
HSPA, SAT and ACT testing and preparation. Additionally, students
were able to ask questions about the material presented. Packets
of information concerning numerous topics were also distributed.
Those
in the guidance department were pleased with the results. “The
junior presentations allow us to share information to help students
begin to organize and plan to apply to colleges, technical or trade
schools, the military, or to enter the workforce,” explained
John Cocuzza, director of guidance at Oakcrest.
