Math
Mark Prince - Mark graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New
Jersey with B.S. in Mathematics in December 2007. He is also currently
serving as Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and
has been a Marine now for four years. Mark wrestled in high school
for Absegami High School and with his love of the sport he looks
forward to helping out with the Oakcrest wrestling team. Mark is
also looking forward to helping out with the new lacrosse team this
school year in any shape or form. Semper Fidelis.

Sawyer - Jared graduated from Richard Stockton College in
2005 with a B.A. in mathematics with a concentration in education.
He began teaching at Holy Spirit high school for the next three years
where he also started a math club, was an assistant coach for the
winter and spring track teams, and became the moderator for the National
Honors society. He enjoys water skiing, playing the guitar, reading,
and riding his motorcycle.

Leah Tarsitano - Leah graduated from Gettysburg College with a major
in Math and a minor in Secondary Education. She enjoys spending time
at the beach, country music, and Phillies games. A lifelong resident
of Northfield, Leah was involved in soccer, swimming and softball
through her high school years.

Kristen Toscano - Kristen graduated Cum Laude from Elizabethtown
College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and also a secondary
school certificate. At Etown, she was heavily involved with their
dance club, Emotion, which entertained more than 300 students campus-wide.
She was awarded the I.L. Bossler Award for outstanding potential
in Mathematics Education and also the Distinguished Senior Award,
awarded to just six graduating seniors. She also graduated from Ocean
City High School with Distinguished Honors. At Ocean City, she played
basketball was involved with Student Council. In her spare time,
she enjoys the beach, exercising and spending time with her family.
It will be her first year teaching at Oakcrest High School and she
is very excited to become a Falcon!

Nurse
Rachel McDonald- Rachel holds a Bachelors of Science degree in
Nursing from Seton Hall University. She is currently enrolled
at Drexel
University pursuing her Masters of Science degree, also in Nursing.
For the past six years, Rachel has worked in a variety of health
care settings. Before coming to Oakcrest, Rachel was a nurse
at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Shore Memorial
Hospital, and a local physician’s office. She is honored
to join the Oakcrest community, and looks forward to promoting
health and wellness to the students and staff. Rachel enjoys
playing sports, traveling, cooking, reading, and most importantly
spending
quality time with her wonderful husband Marc, beautiful daughter
Mara Katharine, and energetic golden retriever Buddy.

Joshua Miller – Joshua is a graduate of Elizabethtown College
where he earned a degree in computer science. After college he
worked as a network administrator in Harrisburg, PA. He now comes
to Oakcrest
after spending a year on the eastern shore of Maryland where he
taught technology education and coached soccer, wresting, and tennis.
Joshua
is looking forward to working at Oakcrest and helping students
both in the classroom and on the athletic field. His hobbies include
windsurfing,
skiing, and relaxing at the beach.

Science
Debra Richardson – Debra, an alumni of Oakcrest H.S, received
her B.S. in Chemistry from Stockton College. She spent some time
working in the pharmaceutical industry, but left to follow her
passion for learning. She is looking forward to continuing her
education,
and hopefully obtaining a masters degree in education. Debra is
thrilled to be rejoining the Oakcrest family, and is looking forward
to being
involved in many aspects of the Oakcrest experience. She spends
most of her off time with her daughter. Debra also enjoys music,
sports,
travel, baking, movies, and relaxing with friends.

Special Education
Brian Bassner - Brian graduated from Salisbury
University in 2006 with a degree in History with a Secondary Education
track and
is currently working on his Masters Degree in Special Education.
Brian
currently holds a CEAS in Social Studies, a CE in Students with
Disabilities and will shortly have his endorsement to teach ESL.
Brian’s first job out of Salisbury was teaching English
in China. He is a fan of travel and (slowly) learning to cook. E-Mail

Ray Welsh - This is Ray’s first year at Oakcrest High School.
Ray was a special education teacher at Cumberland Regional High School
in Seabrook, NJ. He has earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Richard
Stockton College in Literature, and is currently enrolled in the
Special Education Master’s Program Saint Joseph’s University.
Ray is a member of the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association
and has been officiating Football for six years and Track and Field
for two. Ray enjoys sports, movies, and spending time with his
wife Jennifer and their two children, Kelley 6, and Thomas 5.

Social Studies
Zach Leathers – Zach graduated from Shippensburg University
in Shippensburg, PA, with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences Degree
in Geography/Citizenship with a concentration in coaching. At Shippensburg
he was the Assistant Wrestling Coach and Girls' Lacrosse Coach.
While previously substituting at Oakcrest, he was the Assistant
Wrestling
coach, Assistant Football coach and Forensics advisor. Most recently,
he was the Boys' Lacrosse Assistant Coach at Middle Township High
School and the Head coach of Wrestling.

World Language
Erin Chiappini – Erin is a graduate of the University of
Pennsylvania with a BA and an MS Ed degree. She majored in English
and minored
in Hispanic Studies and Anthropology. Enjoys reading, particularly
post-colonial literature, 18th and 19th century British novels,
and works from Latin America; live music; cooking and baking; and
traveling.
Erin has both an English and Spanish certification.
