NHS TUTORING

If anyone is interested in obtaining help from an NHS member please come to the career room after school in guidance from 2:35-3:30 on the following dates; October 26, 28, Nov 2, 9, 30, Dec 7, 14, 21, Jan 11, 20, Feb 1, 9, 15.  Any questions please see Mrs. Alvarado in guidance.

 

A student helping another student learn is a  benefit to both pupils.    Studies have shown that when a student can explain material to another student,  it increases their own understanding.  Teachers are a wonderful resource, but not the only resource that should be used.  A student may feel less intimidated asking another student for help rather than a teacher.  Student tutors are available and willing to help other students.  The National Honor Society is happy to provide these services to the Oakcrest student.
