Former
Absegami Social Studies Teacher, Dale Colman, recently made a three-day
visit to an Oakcrest High School World History and English cohort class.
During his presentation, Colman had students decode a language called
Obenglobish, connecting to what archeologists had to do with the Rosetta
stone. Students
from Joe Costal's English class and Kristin Daube's history class combined
English and social studies skills to determine if the document in question
was authentic. They used the reference center of the library to see if
places like Stonehenge and "When
is Mr. Colman coming again?" freshman Sammi Gardener asked. “That
was fun!”
