Students Reach Out to Community
Oakcrest
High School students continue to reach out to the surrounding
communities during the holiday season. The Social Studies Seminar
class hosted a senior citizen luncheon recently in the school’s
library in an effort to support local community members and to
do something positive for the area.
Students
brought in the food to serve and planned the entire event. “The
students were amazing. They really pulled together to make this
event happen. I think it really went well,” said Christine
Sanchez, seminar teacher.
Students
who participated agreed. “The best part of the whole day
was when one lady stood up and expressed her thanks to us,” commented
Nick Bliss, a senior. “It made me feel good inside.”
