The Oakcrest High School April Teacher of the Month is Trish Daley of the Special Education Department.

Her colleagues appreciate her hard work and dedication to the school and the students. “She has been putting in endless hours in preparation for this year’s 3-day curricular project on conservation,” explained John Gazo, math teacher. “She is passionate, friendly, and dedicated to both teaching and her mission at hand. I applaud her meticulous attention to detail and overflow of inspiring thoughts and new ideas. I had the distinct pleasure of teaching alongside her last year, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I admire the way she interacts with the kids.”

The administration at OHS has decided to honor outstanding teachers with this special award. Each month, one staff member is named Teacher of the Month. The award was established to honor staff members who not only teach, but also help and inspire students to do better in all areas of the Oakcrest community. Students and staff nominate teachers. A selection committee reviews the nominations and selects the winner.

As Teacher of the Month, Daley received a special parking space for the month of April. She was also given a special certificate of recognition for this accomplishment.
