I5 I remember watching the Olympics and being amazed by the number of people.
Now its so quiet with only a few areas in use regularly.

The Greeks apparently did not have an overall plan for use of the structures built for
the games. Some venues are locked and not in use.
One of the bicycling venues is being converted to a parking garage while the tennis and swimming venues are used by teams and for competitions.
The old airport had its runways converted to baseball fields, kayak rivers, and basketball courts.
Now it may become a race track for formula one cars.
The people that I talked to felt that holding the Olympics pushed the country to construct new roads,
subway lines and an airport much quicker than they would have otherwise.
They don’t seem to be too concerned about the cost, or debt that remains,
but are moving on with their lives happy to have these new facilities in their city.
