GENERAL PROCEDURE/INFORMATION

Advertising, Solicitation, And Distribution of Written Materials

1. No person (including pupils, teachers, and/or representatives of outside organizations) may advertise within the school without the express consent of the Principal or the Superintendent.
2. No person shall be permitted to solicit professional staff or students in school. Representatives of educational publishing companies and other persons with a definite interest in education may confer with pupils and teachers provided that such visits are approved by the Principal or his chosen representative.
3. No person either from within the school community or representative from outside organizations shall be permitted to distribute circulars, newspapers, pamphlets or other advertising matter without written permission from the Superintendent of schools. Request for distribution must be made in writing at least two weeks in advance of the distribution date.
4. Educational materials which contain a small amount of advertising may be used in the schools when in the judgment of the superintendent such material possesses high educational value.
5. Lists of names and home addresses of pupils or teachers shall not be given or distributed to anyone under any circumstances without the express order of the Board of Education.
