GENERAL
PROCEDURE/INFORMATION
Audio-Visual Resources
1. Requests for Audio-Visual Services
All sports' videotaping will be scheduled by the head coach prior to the
start of each season. Requests for Audio-Visual Services such as videotaping,
lighting or sound for a show or assembly should be made with the media specialist
at least one week before the scheduled program.
2. Requests for Audio-Visual Materials: Stored in Media Center
Loan periods are the same as for print materials. Teachers wishing to borrow
items for a longer period of time should consult a media specialist. All
audio-visual materials are catalogued and are listed in the card file.
3. Atlantic County Film Library
16mm films which are available from this source are listed in their catalog.
A copy of this catalog is distributed to each teacher. Requests for these
films are to be made out on computer cards available in the office of the
Audio-Visual Coordinator. Please order at least two weeks in advance. Completed
forms should be left with the Audio-Visual Coordinator for processing.
4. Rental and Free Films
Films available from additional outside sources may be obtained from the
various catalogs on file. Requests will be processed by the department supervisor
depending on the availability of the materials and budget constraints.
5. Production Services
Our
production facilities are equipped to provide individuals an opportunity
to produce "tailor-made" materials
to fit a given learning situation including such things as: Transparencies,
slides, 8mm film, tape recordings,
programmed materials and videotapes. With a limited amount of training and
using basic local production techniques, teachers and students can design
and create a wide range of materials for classroom use.
