Drugs, Alcohol, and Smoking

The Drug, Alcohol, and Smoking Policies of the GEHRHSD may be found in the Policy Manual. Under the Law 18a40:41, teachers are excluded from any lawsuit if they report a student who they believe is under the influence of any illegal substance. Smoking or loitering is not permitted anywhere in the building or on the grounds. Teachers are asked to check lavatories in their areas between classes whenever possible. Smoking violations include holding a lit or unlit cigarette. Smoking violations should be reported to the appropriate vice-principal.
