CELL PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN CLASSROOMS!
The only exception to this rule is when a teacher gives specific instructions allowing students to access their cell phones. When a teacher allows cell phones to be utilized in their classroom, they will tell the entire class the time frame and acceptable use of their cell phones.
Students will still be able to access their cell phones during passing time and during their scheduled lunch period.
Devices may never be utilized to take pictures, record, or make phone calls. If a student has an emergency, they should report to the main office or their guidance counselor to make a phone call in the privacy of an office.
Students who find themselves in ISS and/ or detentions will have their cell phones placed in a secure locker and will not have access to them.
Failure to abide by this policy will be considered insubordination as well as misuse of electronic devices.
