Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! This is year 14th for me at OHS. Well actually it's year 18 if you count the 4 I spent here as a student. I am proud to say that I graduated from Oakcrest in 1988. This year I am teaching Algebra 2 and Survey of Math. I am a co-advisor of the Oakcrest Math Club and also help run The Oak Shoppe (our school store). I look forward to working together with my new students and their families! NEW DISTRICT CELL PHONE POLICY:
● CELL PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN CLASSROOMS!
○ The only exception to this rule is when a teacher gives specific instructions allowing students to access their cell phones. When a teacher allows cell phones to be utilized in their classroom, they will tell the entire class the time frame and acceptable use of their cell phones.
● Students will still be able to access their cell phones during passing time and during their scheduled lunch period.
● Devices may never be utilized to take pictures, record, or make phone calls. If a student has an emergency, they should report to the main office or their guidance counselor to make a phone call in the privacy of an office.
● Students who find themselves in ISS and/or detentions will have their cell phones placed in a secure locker and will not have access to them.
● Failure to abide by this policy will be considered insubordination as well as misuse of electronic devices.
