I've been teaching in the English Department at Oakcrest for 21 years, and I love being a Falcon!
This year, I am teaching American Literature and College and Career Readiness for Seniors.
English teachers have Falcon Time during Zero Periods on A and B days this year. I am available for extra help, tutoring, assignment assistance, make-up work, catching up from absences, etc. during Falcon Time.

This year, I am teaching two very different courses.
American Literature with Ms. Wnuk is the sophomore English course that everyone must take and pass to graduate high school. 10th grade is one of my favorite grade levels to teach! I specialize in helping students learn, practice, and use skills in reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and technology. I also include a focus on standardized testing preparation for the PSATs/SATs and NJGPA (tests required in sophomore and junior years for the purposes of receiving a high school diploma and/or admission to college.)
College and Career Readiness for 12th grade has the purpose of helping seniors to meet their New Jersey state graduation requirements so that they can receive their high school diploma at the end of the school year. We are very focused on reaching our goals in this class. Mrs. Rosen and Mr. Keating will be the math teachers for period 5, while Ms. Huminski will be with my period 3 class.
