Welcome to the 2025/2026 school year! Let's make this year a fantastic journey of learning, growth, and achievement together.

I attained my degree in Business Management with a minor in Accounting from the University of Phoenix in 2014. I have been working in the insurance sector for 17 years and 3 years in restaurant management. I've enjoyed what I was doing and am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with my students. I've been involved with Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District for 12 years on and off as a substitute teacher and 5 years as a school board member. I love this district very much because I had a hand in helping to develop policy's in which to help our district grow. Let's have a great year!

Financial literacy is the knowledge and skills needed to manage money effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being. It includes understanding how to earn, spend, save, and invest, as well as being able to make informed financial decisions.

Key components of financial literacy

  • Budgeting: Creating and maintaining a spending plan is a cornerstone of financial literacy. This helps you track income and expenses to ensure you live within your means and achieve your financial goals.

  • Saving and investing: Financial literacy involves understanding the difference between saving money for short-term goals and investing for long-term growth, such as retirement. It requires an understanding of concepts like compound interest and risk tolerance.

  • Debt management: This includes knowing how to use credit responsibly, understanding interest rates, and managing or paying down different types of debt, such as credit cards, student loans, and mortgages.

  • Financial planning: Setting both short-term and long-term financial goals, like saving for a house or retirement, is a key component. It also involves topics like estate planning and understanding the impact of taxes.

  • Protection: Protecting assets and income is vital. This involves understanding and choosing the right types of insurance, such as for health, life, and property.
