Hi everyone! My name is Kiersten Campbell and this is my third year at Oakcrest! I am a special education english teacher and have mostly taught American Lit. I graduated from the University of Delaware with an English degree, then went through the alternate route to get my teaching certification. Now I am going to school online for my special education certification and masters degree. I love to read and am willing to talk books with anyone anytime! Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

This course is an American Literature class that will include works by various authors from the beginning of writing about America up to today. We will be reading nonfiction pieces, poems, short stories, and novels. The class will focus on reading, writing, researching and public speaking to assist students in gathering, organizing and communicating their thoughts

Reading selections, audio-visual materials, classroom activities, and assessment tools are varied to accommodate all students.
