Congrats to the students and staff involved in winning the Atlantic City Electric Climate Challenge AGAIN! Students from Mrs. Baker, Mr. Piotrowski, and Mrs. Hullihen's classes recently attended the ACE Climate Change Challenge at Atlantic City Electric in Mays Landing. While at the event, students participated in educational STEM experiences in different departments. For this year's entry in the challenge, students collaborated to plan our first annual Absegami Energy Carnival, which was held in April.

Last Saturday, Absegami and the Tri-M Music Honor Society hosted the All South Jersey Elementary Honors Band Festival, where hundreds of students from 90 school across south Jersey came together to rehearse and perform. This was a great opportunity to showcase our school to the region!

Coming to the Absegami stage this fall, on the 25th Anniversary of September 11th - travel with us to Gander, a town that took in thousands of people who were grounded when the US Airspace was closed following the tragic events of the morning… and showed humanity and kindness that we could all bear to see more of. “Come From Away” is not just a story from around a pivotal moment in history - it’s about the community who showed up for their fellow men and women that day and the week following.

We are proud to welcome our own community in for this experience! As a very special fundraiser event for the Absegami Drama Booster Club, “Come From Away” will be presented as a community theater production at Absegami High School with four performances this fall - September 10th, 11th, & 12th.

Auditions will be held Saturday, May 30, 10a-1p, and Monday, June 1, 5:30-9p, at Absegami.
