The Kindness Club has been celebrating the month of February by doing Random Acts of Kindness at OHS. Here members created sticky notes with inspiring messages to be the "i" in KIND. Students were encouraged to make or "Take And Give A Note Of Kindness" randomly to others 😊 ❤️

School to Career students are working hard to open a second location of Oakcrest's Kindness Closet. The students launder the items, thanks to the purchase of a washer and dryer from a Ralph Martin grant, then stock the closet with the gently used items. We are excited to open the second location. Bring your Kindness Cash and do some shopping!

Mrs. Hinton's Life Skills students have been busy over the last few months with their student-driven projects! For Halloween, we learned how to decorate cookies with royal icing. During the early weeks of winter, we handmade Oakcrest hats to decorate our homes for the holidays. Most recently for Valentine's Day, we made our friends and loved ones special friendship bracelets to let them know how much we care about them.

Students in the REACH program were invited to Mr. Weisback's room to learn how to play chess. They were taught about the pieces and then with some coaching from Mr. Weisback and some of his students, they engaged in some friendly competition. Fun was had by all!
